Rapid Reverse
For winch operations where a load has to be lowered at high speed and with complete control the Pullmaster planetary winches in the 'H' series offers reversing speeds approximately 4.5 times faster than forward speed. Models in this series are available in line pull capacities from 8,500 lb (37.8 kN) to 50,000 lb (222.4 kN). Based on the same design principle as winches with equal speed in both directions, the 'Rapid Reverse' winch automatically locks out the primary reduction ratio when powered in reverse.
Models in the 'HL' series have a 'Rapid Reverse' and a 'Rapid Forward' speed in addition to normal hoisting capacity and normal hoisting speed. The change from normal hoisting speed to 'Rapid Forward' speed can be made while the load is moving on the fly.

Equal Speed
Seven basic models provide for line pull capacities from 1,102 lb (4.9 kN) to 50,000 lb (222.4 kN). With the available options Pullmaster planetary winches can be adapted for a wide range of applications and for special operational requirements.
All Pullmaster planetary winches feature an automatic disc brake, which has static and dynamic brake function. A counter balance or brake valve is not needed for smooth and positive control of a decelerating load.

Recovery Winches
'R' Series Pullmaster recovery winches are of the same design concept as Pullmaster hoisting winches. Planetary reductions provide for high efficiency and positive dynamic and static braking is achieved with an automatic disc brake.
'Free Spooling' is a standard feature of this model and is offered with a manually actuated clutch or is suitable for hydraulic remote control. In comparison with a 'worm gear' recovery winch the Pullmaster Model R requires substantially less HP imput and overcomes all of the disadvantages inherent in the 'worm gear' reduction. The Model R recovery winch can be utilized in operations which may not be possible with a worm gear winch.
